## ID Verification Requirement

**Why must you verify your identity?**

* Just as when you go to the notary they ask you for your legally valid identity document in your country to verify your identity, for blockchain certifications to make sense, they are also going through this previous step.&#x20;
* By following this process, you can have legal validity because your registrations are linked to your identity.

**How does it work?**

* To verify your identity, you'll need to follow the process and a KYC and AML check will be conducted on our end with Checkr.
* Once finished, your digital identity will be encrypted and stored in a decentralized way at [IPFS](https://ipfs.tech/).
* Voila! You can start to use the system to Certify Docs.
* Connected to our Custom blockchain SaaS project.
